The practical session takes place at our academy and CQC registered clinic in Tamworth, Staffordshire, and involves the use of both manikins and live models. This training is suitable for doctors, dentists, registered nurses, and pharmacists. However, it is essential to note that non-prescribing pharmacists and nurses must have a prescriber in place or have an arrangement for prescribing, which includes face-to-face consultation and assessment.

This course thoroughly explores the causes of vitamin B12 deficiency, treatment options, medical indications for use, and guidelines for referrals. It is important to note that while treating the symptoms of a disease or disorder is a CQC regulated activity, vitamin B12 supplementation is not currently subject to this regulation. It is crucial to understand that the vitamin B12 injections covered in this course are prescription-only medicines and are regulated by the MHRA. As such, advertising of these medicines to the public is not permitted. Before administering vitamin B12 injections, it is necessary to confirm with your medical indemnity providers that you have adequate insurance coverage.
